Devynn's 1 Year Pictures

I really can't believe that my little baby is 1. It seems like that year went by so fast. Amber Goddard took her 1 year pics and as always she did an amazing job. Devynn was playing around and wanting to do everything but get her pictures taken and I was thinking how are we going to get a good shot of her. But Amber and all her talent did it. Every picture that she took turned out so perfect. Even the ones where Devynn decided to play in the dirt. Some of those are actually my favorite!

Devynn's 1st Birthday

I don't really know how it happened but our little baby is 1. It is so crazy to me how fast time goes by. It seems like just yesterday that I was bringing her home from the hospital. I think she had a pretty good birthday. I was a little nervous that she was going to be sick for her birthday but she ended up feeling better just in time. On her birthday we took her to McDonalds for her first kids meal and to play in the playland. She loved her chicken nuggets and ate almost all of them.

We had a little family birthday party for her on Sunday. It was an owl themed birthday party so I wanted to make these cute little owl cake pops that I saw on pinterest. So with my mom's help we took on the task and I must say they turned out pretty cute!

Devynn had so much fun opening all her presents. She wasn't sure what to do at first but once she figured it out she went crazy.

She had so much fun eating her cake. She didn't even hesitate at all she just dove right in. Everyone was laughing and she realized that they were all watching and laughing at her so boy did she put on a show. This little girl is definitely not shy, she loves all the attention she can get.

Happy Birthday Devynn!

Halloween

I know I'm a little behind on posting about Halloween but better late then never. Peyton had told me that she wanted to be a cheerleader this year but one day we were looking through a catalog with costumes and we saw this adorable Little Bo Peep costume with a little sheep costume to go with it. I fell in love with it and Peyton said that she wanted to be it if Devynn could be the sheep.

I wasn't sure if Devynn was going to like it. She's not very good about keeping headbands or hats on so I thought she would hate the hood. She actually loved it! She didn't try to take the hood off at all.

On the Friday before Halloween Peyton's school had their Halloween parade. It is always fun going to the school and seeing all the kids in their cute costumes. Peyton really wanted Devynn to walk around with her but Devynn just isn't a fast enough walker yet. She couldn't keep up with all the big kids.

The girls had so much fun trick-or-treating. Peyton always wants to go to every house in our neighborhood and it is a pretty big neighborhood so we are always out pretty late. I can't believe how much candy she got this year. She had to go through it all when we got home to see everything she got.

We had an awesome Halloween and can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Witches Night Out

For the last couple of years we have made it a tradition to go to witches night out at Gardner Village. Peyton always has so much fun seeing all the people dressed up. This year it seemed like there were more people there than in the past. I guess it's becoming a popular thing. It was super crazy with all the people but we still had a blast. Peyton got her eyes painted with glitter and danced up on the stage. Devynn just loved watching everyone. We all had a fun night and can't wait to do it again next year!

Family Pictures

Devynn's daycare had us bring some family pictures to put on the wall. As I was looking through pictures I noticed that we didn't have any family pictures with Devynn in them. So I decided it was time to get some pictures taken of our little family. Amber Goddard took the pictures for us and as always she did an amazing job. Here are just a few.

Camping Fun at Whitney Lake

We had a blast this weekend camping at Whitney Lake with my mom and Kip. Our friends Jason and Chantele took us camping there last year and we fell in love with the place. We wish they could have come with us this year. I was a little worried that we were going to freeze to death this late in the year in the Uintahs, but it actually turned out to be perfect. During the day we actually got a little hot and during the night it wasn't even too cold. We camped in the same spot that we camped in last year. It is the perfect spot because it is hidden in the trees and looks out over the lake.

Hanging out in the trailer.

Peyton found an awesome tree swing by our camp. She had so much fun on it!

We saw tons of deer and tons of moose. One night we were out driving looking for moose and it was starting to get dark so we started heading back to our camp. As we were driving Brandon all the sudden stopped the truck and yelled "there's a moose!" I was looking around trying to see it as it ran right in front of our truck. Good thing Brandon was watching because I didn't even see it coming.

Devynn has started walking so she was walking all over the trailer.

Devynn loves this chair in the trailer. She would get so excited when I would sit her in it.

We went on a nice little razor ride to the top of the mountain. At the top we found this little lake hidden in the trees. It was so pretty.

The leaves on the trees have started changing color. they were the prettiest, brightest yellow.

Peyton calls this the "Spooky Tree". She was so excited that it was still there this year!

We were trying to leave and the road was blocked by sheep. There were tons of them everywhere.

We love Whitney Lake and we can't wait to go back again next year!!!
